Hello there!
We have been having so much fun in Room 9!
We really enjoyed Athletics day, I have put some pictures and videos below for you to enjoy, boy do we have some fast runners, high pouncers and long jumpers in Room 9!
Kaidens Gran visited us with a Guide Dog in training, Phoebe was fun to pat!
On Thursday we made lolly cake in class, as some of our reading groups have been learning to read instructions. They have also been making origami bats and foxes, such a fun way to do reading!
Next week, we are off to the Museum as we wrap up our Inquiry for the term by seeing an exhibition of musical instruments from around the world!
We will be starting to take down artwork and the students will begin to bring some items home in the next few weeks. Room 9 is undergoing construction next year and will not be in use for at least the first term, so we have alot of tidying to do!
We hope you enjoy our latest learning,
Ka kite,
Room 9.
PS. I noticed the sound is not playing for the videos and it is glitchy, I will work on this!

Weeks 1-3, Term 4
A warm welcome back! Room 9 has had a busy few weeks.
We have had a visit by renowned NZ author, Kate de Goldi, added another layer onto our awesome potatoes, planted some tomato, zucchini and capsicum plants as well as having a cricket coach in for an afternoon of fun!
We have been exploring musical instruments from around the world and have been listening to music from all over the globe including Mexico, Australia, Japan, Ireland, India, Mongolia and Great Britain. We have seen and written about a Didgeridoo and Drums.
We have also been reading lyrics as part of our reading programme- here is the video from our song from this week.
Trinity has also joined our class and she is a delight to have in class, our students are being great friends for her.
Enjoy the pictures and we hope you look forward to our next update!
