Recycling

This morning Room 9 looked at heaps of garbage. A lady came and showed us how much rubbish we create at Enner Glynn School in ONE DAY! We felt sad about the rubbish. We felt sad because that rubbish will go to a landfill. Here is some of the rubbish that was there.

Plastic

Food Scraps

Paper

Cardboard

Mrs Langi gave us some ideas of how we could help. Here are some ideas.
  • We can recycle things like paper, bottles, yoghurt pots and food scraps.
  • We need to keep our food scraps in our lunch boxes until lunch time and then put them in the worm bucket (remember the things that can't go in there like orange peel and plastic).
  • We could wrap our sandwiches in baking paper.
  • We could make our own muesli bars.
  • We could start using canvas bags for our shopping.
